Future development plan

  • To eastablish a modern rubber wood pressure treating plant at the cost of Tk.1309.00 lac is under process.
  • DPP submitted for 1057.00 acres of new rubber plantation at Rangunia, Chittagong is under process.
  • Manufacturing of modern doors, windows and household items to meet the local demand and to modernize the industrial units to face the competition.
  • During 2000-2001 to 2011, replanted 7773.00 acres and to be replanted 2499.00 acres of rubber plantation by 2013-14.
  • Rationalizing and creating efficient manpower.
  • Modernization of factories and smoke-houses, creation of armed guards for rubber sector to protect it from theft/trafficking, infrastructure development.
  • Export of rubber after fulfillment of local demand of natural rubber by increasing productivity.
  • Alleviation of poverty of the rural poor people by expansion of rubber cultivation both in private/public sectors especially in the Hilly areas of Bangladesh and Madhupur tracts.
